Use of CranfordTalk.org requires understanding of the following terms.
CranfordTalk.org provides an independent, open source for information and discussion regarding Cranford, New Jersey.

This is an unmoderated and mostly unregulated forum. Posts are not routinely edited, deleted, or even read or screened for content by the administrator of this forum. The opinions expressed here do not represent those of CranfordTalk.org.

Users wishing to register must contact dave@cranfordtalk.org to register or wait for an open registration period. In the meantime, you may post anonymously as a guest.

Post at your own risk. You can be held responsible for the statements which you post on this messageboard. Your IP is logged with every post. The administrator has access to this information, however CranfordTalk.org agrees not to release this information except under strict circumstances. We do not support slander or libel and will have no choice but to cooperate in the event of a subpoena.

People may not agree with you, they may call you names, they may use foul language with you, they may post your personal information, or they may attack you for any or no reason at all. That's the risk you take on these forums. They are uncensored with the hope that decency will prevail.

All speech is tolerated as long as it is not prohibited by law. Speech prohibited by law includes threats to other users or public officials. Such posts will be deleted, users posting such content will be permanently banned, and law enforcement may be informed.

CranfordTalk.org is for Cranford discussion. Limited state and county discussion as well as nebulous general-interest fodder will be tolerated in the main forum, but national or international political topics must be posted in National/International. We reserve the right to prune or move such posts at our discretion.

Infractions will be dealt with through the warning system for Registered Users, and the banning system for Guests. Since guest posting makes it impossible for us to contact a user when a rule has been broken, we need to use the banning system. The length of the ban for the first time will range between 1-3 days. You may contact me at dave@cranfordtalk.org to acknowledge receipt of the warning and the ban may be removed. If you somehow find yourself permanently banned, you should move on, because we have as well.

I took the time to revise the Terms and Conditions.

Main changes:
- Clarification of warning/banning system.
- Clarification of the site's policy on non-Cranford topics.
- Allowing limited state/county discussion in the main forum.

Other than that, just some language changes. It is OK to post any questions/comments in this thread.
