what has changed thanks to TR? $800,000 on OPRAs?

One thing that has changed is that the county is not ignoring the watchdogs anymore. The union county propaganda dept head and even some of the freehodlers are now taking to fighting it out in the local newspapers. The minions are even on this forum as "guests" in trying to marginalize the organization. There is just too much information now out there about the union county government waste and abuse. It now looks like eveything they do in programs and construction is specifically designed to enrich the vendors and professionals and has little to do with actual public interest involved. I'd say they are definitely informing the county taxpayers what the heck is going on down in elizabeth. I commend them for the groudswell that is hapening.
And the posters are even wrong in referring to the voter booth as the means of change. The county owns elizabeth and that is where all our tax moneys go, and the voting block is. This is the major roadblock to good change. And why anyone on this forum would support the county's actions after reading the watchdog blog is beyond me. TR has definitely uncovered and exposed just how pervasive the problem with machine politics are. Christie is doing the same but on the higer level. He is probably being made fully aware of what is happening in this county and one of his underlings is hopefully reading the watchdog blog to understand. Good luck to us all.

Just because the County windbag says Tina's OPRA requests have cost the County $800,000 doesn't make it true. She has won cases against the county. Maybe it's the County's secrecy that has costs the taxpayers money.

She is GREAT wrote:Tina tells the truth and that scares the hell out of a lot of people, especially the originator of this topic. For the topic originator to resort to such lowbrow posting she must be very effective.
